Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust supervises offenders in the community – those subject to a court order and those released from prison on licence.
Probation’s role is to:
- Protect the public
- Reduce re-offending
- Enforce punishment of offenders
- Rehabilitate offenders to law-abiding lives
- Uphold the interests of victims of crime
Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust is divided into 9 geographical districts:
Birmingham Coventry Dudley Sandwell Solihull Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Walsall WolverhamptonWith HM Prison Service and other organisations working with convicted offenders, Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust is administered by the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) – a department of the Ministry of Justice.
