Welcome to Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation

Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust supervises offenders in the community – those subject to a court order and those released from prison on licence.

Probation’s role is to:

  • Protect the public
  • Reduce re-offending
  • Enforce punishment of offenders
  • Rehabilitate offenders to lead law-abiding lives
  • Uphold the interests of victims of crime

With HM Prison Service and other organisations working with convicted offenders, Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust is administered by the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) – a department of the Ministry of Justice.
